Jimmy Stewart - Essay Example He won Oscars for his wonderful performance in â€Å"Mr. Smith Goes to Washington† (1939) and â€Å"The Philadelphia Story† in 1940. He served as a combat pilot during World War II and came back with more spirits and enthusiasm to break his own previous records. He starred in â€Å"It’s a wonderful life† in 1946 which became his reason for endless fame (Laufenberg, 2005 p 847). Jimmy Stewart had the personality which inspired me the most.
